As I'm going through feeling a bit alone in this new area of life I open my blog to visit my friends lives for a while. They make me smile and help me feel a little closer to them.
Also I realize it's almost been a year since I posted. I guess I do most of my updating through facebook, but I like the heart of a blog better. It's more personal and if people really want to read it they have to come here it's not laid out for everyone to read.
Last year was sort of Nuts. Between getting engaged, living the dream and going to Eygpt, Jordan and Israel, finishing my CLBI internship in Calgary for the Summer, planning a wedding, Getting married, going on a honeymoon and deciding we were going to move life has been a little absurd.
We moved to Calgary in December and have been settling. WE live in a little one bedroom apartment with most of our things in storage at my mom and dads. We have had really bad luck with jobs and have really struggled though the last few months. WE had some amazing blessings though like a group of people my mom and dad know dropping us off like $400 in groceries for us. A huge blessing!
Chris is finally working he has a job doing pre-boarding security at the Airport which is good but we haven't even got a first pay check yet. And the hours have re-written our life a bit. He works 4:30 am until 12:30pm so its interesting.
I'm looking and have had two interviews in the last few days. Both casual positions that could end up being a pretty good amount of work, one at a daycare and one at a Seniors care facility.
In other news we need a new car because ours has simply become unreliable and not worth fixing anymore which provides a whole new set of issues, butI know it will all eventually work out. I'm starting to wonder if we'll ever get out of debt though.....
Well I guess that's about life in a nutshell right now.
Until next time, hopefully rather soon....

Angela,
sounds like you guys are having a rough time. but it sounds like you're having a fairly typical first year of being married! As you know I'm getting married very soon... less than 2 months! We are probably going to be in similar shoes. We won't actual have our own place for the summer... We are planning on house sitting for different people all summer to keep rent costs to zero! haha. yeah, it's going to be interesting (and fantastic as far as I'm concerned!). I'm having a really hard time keeping focused and motivated these days and after reading your blog I felt like perhaps you are too. I hope you are doing things which you have a passion for because I think that by exerting your energy in those things you will in turn have more energy to do the necessary, often not so exhilarating things. If you're looking for an interesting read, you should check out an oldie called "the pursuit of God" by A.W. Tozer
