May- I can't believe it's May...well okay it's May tomorrow, but that's close enough. As much as I'm not a fan of the crazy rain in the last 24 hours I can't believe how fast it's making everything turn green.
The last few days have been amazing, I've gotten to relax for the first time in a very long time. The idea of coming home from work and having nothing pressing to do is incredible. Yes, I still have lots to be doing but nothing that has to immediately be done. I've been able to enjoy the company of some friends, sit on the deck and I've started reading again. Man I love books. I'm reading Mitch Albom's For one more day right now and am just enjoying the worlds books take you too.
I'm learning to take some time out to just be. Something I've forgotten in the last year something extremely important to my healthy existence.
This years adventures are starting - two weeks ago I spent the night up at Hastings Lake with a church from Viking doing a service project and just building relationship with them. Next week we head out to Bethany Homes for Children to work on their property and bond with the kids for the weekend. I finished my TESL training and so am one step closer to somewhat knowing what I'm doing when I leave the country again. Mongolia is a work in process I'm going at the end of August beginning of September with not a lot of things set in place yet. The basic bits and pieces but thats all for now. I guess that's what waiting and trusting God is all about right.
To the unknowns, sunshine, and reading.
